My testimony about temples

“May we say, with Joshua of old, “Choose you this day whom ye will serve; … but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”3 Now, my brothers and sisters, we have built temples throughout the world and will continue to do so. The temple is a place where we can find peace.” This was said by our beloved prophet, Thomas S. Monson. Temples in the Latter Day Saints life are very important to us. We believe that it is very sacred and holy place. There are many things that are performed in the temple. People are sealed together eternally and baptisms are also performed. In the sealing of a man and a woman we can be sealed together forever. I know that this is true because it is a gospel doctrine that is taught to us as we are all growing up. And for baptisms we do them for the dead. This means we are able to get baptized for people who never had a chance to receive the gospel on earth. So when they are in heaven they have a choice whether to follow the lord and to live in paradise. There are around 130 temples on the earth right now. And they are still building them around the world now. In Rome the already have the land plotted out for the temple that they are going to build there.
It is an amazing experience to go through a temple. The spirit of the Holy Ghost takes over your heart and you feel calm. The calmness makes you want to do service for someone else. You forget about yourself and what you want or how you look when you are in the temple. It is because you are doing the service of God. And this is great to know because when we do our genealogy we can find out about who our ancestors are. And if they were not members of the church or never had the chance to get baptized we can do that ourselves. And there is nothing like doing the service for you own family. And it is my testimony that our Heavenly Father created these wonderful things for us to do our works here on earth. I know that the atonment is a amazing blessing that our Christ suffered and died for us. And that the prophets that dedicate these beautiful temples are called of God. And they recieve blessings and revaltions today from God. And I know that God knows all our trials, we have them for a reason. And we can meet people who can really touch our lives. Like a school teacher. I never really had him as a teacher, but the things he did for other teachers and his students made me always want to be a better person. And everything that happens, happens for a reason. I know and love my lord. I know that Joseph Smith saw the Son and the Father. I love them so very much! I say these things, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
